I love this so much!

I love this. I am a candle fanatic and I am always looking for great candle holders. This was perfect in our guest bathroom. I have never bought something that my husband and I both fell in love with immediately.

Location is important

Although this isn't quite as vivid as depicted on the website, the placement of your candle holder itself can make a big difference. If the candle sits up very high in the room, you will only see the prism effect at the base of the holder. If you place the candle holder at eye level or slightly below you will see the prism effect rise all the way to the top of the candle holder and it looks much better

Can this be used with a platic cup tealight or does it need to be a metal cup like the one it came with?

Hello! You can use whatever kind of tea light you'd like, including electric. We just note that if you are using a wax candle, place it in a holder to prevent dripping.

The prism glass cover lifts off of the base so you can change the candle and for easy cleaning.

will a 3.25 diameter glass votive candle work with it?

The inside diameter of the base is 2.75 inches, so a 3.25-inch diameter glass votive candle wouldn't fit.

Does this work with LED tea lights or does it have to be incandescent or candle light? Also, you suggest using with an electric tea light. Is the unit base built (notched out?) to accommodate a power cord?

Greetings! Thanks for your question. The Signals Prism Light operates by using a wax candle tea light or an LED (possibly battery operated) candle tea light; it does not have an opening for a power cord to fit through its base.

Does the light from the candle reflect out on to the walls or stay inside the glass?

The light is primarily visible in the glass, but it does reflect on the table and wall (if it's close enough) a bit. You can check out the video (the far right thumbnail under the main image) on the product page for some examples of what the light will look like in different situations.
