Did you know that just like there are birth month stones, and flowers... there are birds as well? I had no idea myself, but when I was approached by uncommongoods to collaborate on a set of Birth Month Bird Tea Towels, I couldn't wait to learn all about the birds! I always like to "get to know" a bird before I start painting it, I think it really helps me capture it's "birdonality" better! Did you know that barn owls have fringed feathers, so that when they move they don't make a "swooshing" noise and the owl can fly silently? 🦉 Pretty cool huh? ⁣ ⁣ If you swipe across you can see how this barn owl made it's way onto a lovely cotton tea towel!
