When she was young, Chelsea Lipton used to sit for hours on the living room floor, sculpting candles from the fireplace mantel into different shapes. Chelsea’s mom observed her artistic talents and put her in a pottery class. Since then, her fascination with sculpture has become a devotion to the craft. After years of study and work in her native New York and Chicago, Chelsea opened her own studio in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, where she has now been a full-time potter for nearly 10 years.
