Launched in 1999, NOVICA's mission is to assist artisans in remote regions of the world through fair-trade networks. To achieve this lofty goal, cofounder Roberto Milk tapped an international group of friends and family to help change the world. Their team works hard to establish one-on-one relationships with thousands of artisans who commit to creating ethically made products, and all of NOVICA's original founders remain instrumental in their operations today.

Sustainability, ethical business practices, and community engagement were always part of NOVICA's philosophy, so it's no surprise they passed the B Corp certification process in 2021. "We greatly appreciate being part of a larger, like-minded network working hard to make positive waves in the world," they said. NOVICA has raised more than $132 million, impacting over 75,000 individuals around the globe; their efforts have empowered artisans and their families to improve their living conditions and businesses, as well as enabled access to higher-education opportunities.
