So Disappointed

I ordered this for our 15th wedding anniversary and was very excited about it. It was so unusual and attractive. I was very disappointed when I opened the box -the frame is a very rough, almost unfinished grayish-colored wood. The branches are a beautiful autumn color but don't blend well with the frame. Also, the branches don't seem firmly attached to the frame and look dented. The biggest disappointment was that my husband's name - Jim - looked backwards where it was positioned on the branch. I have since ordered another gift (from Uncommon Goods because I've never been disappointed before) and will be putting this item in the closet.

I forgot about Eve

I was sold by the story in the description. I read it during our 'busy' season at work and felt pressured to order it so it would be here in time. It arrived so fast I had whiplash. The second I opened it, I winced and cringed and shouted a profane word or two because I connected the single apple to the story in the bible. You see, my brother's girlfriend leans fairly religious and her relationship with the other siblings left a lot to be desired so it was just really hard to swallow the idea that she might take this as a slight. So, I racked my brain and sourced ideas of how to spin it to seem more like the story in the description. Now I have an envelope with a card in it before they ever get to the actual gift. The card explains positive things about apple trees and strong foundations, etc. It's a very pretty product. I like the 3D quality of it. I wish I'd waited another week when the price dropped $10, though. I'm on a budget.

Absolutely Perfect

I just gave this to my partner for our anniversary and he loved it. It arrived earlier than expected and very well wrapped. The detailing and workmanship is stunning and the design is exactly as the customer and site pictures show. Is the wood stained or natural. It looks natural, but one reviewer mentioned it was blue. Thank you.

Hi Reston, great question. This item has a very light grey stain which helps the color of the metal in this piece, pop. (It's lovely!) Sometimes colors can look differently when viewed under various types of light. This customer was likely looking at the item under a cold (blue tinted) light. Hope this helps!
