Born and raised in Syria, Manal Alalabe moved to Jordan before ultimately moving to the USA as a refugee in 2016. Manal worked in a dental office and as an aesthetician prior to coming to America, becoming a candlemaker in 2020. Joining forces with a friend who was exclusively hiring refugee women, Manal thrived in the role, serving as head of production. She now oversees other refugee women in the business while still saving time to practice the craft of candle-pouring every day.
