Doesn't fit toaster slot

It doesn't fit a regular toaster. Ours is named brand. Fits bagels not the "taco toaster "

Great by and gift giver!

I bought four sets! Gave them to family and kept one set for us, they work great! If you have a bigger family I would by two sets, after you use them.

Cool and Useful Gift

This is a great because now I can get my shells perfect. It works great is pretty much all toaster I've tried it with. What I don't like about it is that it is made of plastic however it is pretty durable and hasn't been an issue yet.

TACOS! Now, easier, sort of.

It works, just not with the tortillas that I bought, with the toaster that I have. If you are going for the standard corn/flour(burrito) size of tortilla, make sure that your toaster slots are long enough. If you have a standard toaster, purchase "street taco" sized corn tortillas. Or, do what I am going to do, and buy a toaster with longer slots. :D (Yes, I really am looking to replace my toaster, so that I can use my Taco Toaster with full sized tortillas. Also, so I don't have to keep flipping my long sourdough bread, to toast both ends.)

I have bought these as gifts!

I have tried using this for lunch/dinner tacos with meat. Will try breakfast tacos with egg next time! Toaster is convenient for this, while cooking eggs.

Worked perfectly!

Loved these! They work exactly as described. Taco shells were crispy and SO much easier to fill and hold! Only con is that the handles are plastic, so must be cooled with cold water and dried between uses, which is a bit of a hassle when making more than two tacos, but these work so well that the extra effort is worth it. Very pleased with this purchase. This is a gadget I will actually use!

Taco Night is Every Night

This might seems like a gimmicky gift, but it's not! The taco toasters really do work, and cook low carb tortillas perfectly. We just need a new toaster now, as our 21 year old one isn't cutting it anymore!

Just didn't work!!

I wanted the taco toaster to work for my husband who loves his tacos. But it just did not toast the tortillas uniformly.

What is the maximum heat I can use this product in? I am looking for a tool to help form my wonton wrappers into taco shells when frying them in oil.

Hi there! The deflection point is 480 degrees F, meaning it will become pliable after that - which would be unsafe. Because of this, the maker recommends cooling it down after two uses. It will work in oil as long as it stays below that 480 degree point!
