In the Polish city of Podhale, woodworking is a centuries-old tradition, passed down from father to son through generations. And that’s how it happened with designer Mateusz Haberny, as he and his brother grew up watching their father in the carpentry workshop next door to their home. By the time he entered college, Mateusz already knew he wanted to run his own business, and he began by fusing those traditional woodcraft techniques with 21st century aesthetics and technology.
