Great class, great teacher! Maybe not quite "Master" level
This was really a good class and had great information and presentation. The instructor clearly knew the material and how to present and show the skills and was overall charming and engaging. I would definitley recomend the class but be advised this is more like advanced knife skills than master level. If you have spent any time at all in a commercial kitchen this will be pretty basic. Never hurts to practice the basics formally especially when they are well taught but make sure your expectations are in line.

Very Informative Class
Chef Mark was a very good presenter. Got some good tips. He does cover the info a little fast, so it would be nice if it would be possible to review the recording of the session after. I assumed we would be able to review the recording when asked for our permission in the beginning to record, so I was disappointed to have the facilitator say it was just for internal use. There were a couple of techniques he did that I figured I could watch again after when I didn't quite catch what he was doing. Other than that, it was very enjoyable. Oh one other thing - it would be good to know ahead of time to try to set up your camera to see your work surface if possible. I couldn't do that on the fly.

Good basic technique class
Technically, quality was medium - Chef should not have been moving his own camera. The pet dog, dog dishes, and wife on the edge were distracting and unprofessional. Very disappointed I can't watch the recording again to refine presented techniques! We were counting on that when we bought the class and expensive cutting board.

Fun, learning experience
Chef Mark gave clear instruction on use of the chef knife - I had never used this knife correctly before. His presentation was low-key with a lot of humor so I didn't feel intimidated.

Wonderful and fun experience
I got this for my husband's birthday - it was on the 28th!. He is the chef in the family and so is our younger daughter and they both thoroughly enjoyed it. It was just long enough and they learned a lot of new skills and great tips from Chef Mark. It really was a fun experience. We will be looking for more similar experiences on Uncommon goods. Thank you.

One thing to change
The knife handling class was good, but it went too fast through sharpening the knife. I'm still not sure how to do it. I have questions that weren't answered.

I'm glad I did this.
I bought this as a Christmas present for my adult son. It was so different he didn't seem to know what to think. As he read the recipes and instructions, it looked like he was warming to the idea of an on-line cooking class. He did say he could probably use knife handling tips. When the class was done, he gave me a hug and thanked me for a fun gift. He said is was a good experience.
