This is a great idea in theory but didn't deliver

The box came damaged and the items weren't in the right day. The candy cane pieces were stale and stuck together. It's a cute idea but overpriced for what you get and the quality of ingredients. Disappointing.

Beautiful presentation, content so-so

Hard candies, peppermint crumbles, and marshmallows were aged looking and stuck together. Couldn't use. The other items were ok. The cocoa powder was dusty from packing, no hole. The cutters are very cheaply made tin. The box is incredibly large. The recipe cards were thick, laminated, and beautifully illustrated. We did not attempt the recipes yet, but it is not for the novice/child to do alone.

Great activity Advent Calendar

I was irritated items shifted much like another reviewer stated but my teenager didn't care and told me it wasn't a big deal and it would still be fun. Based on the fact it didn't impact the excitement level of this advent calendar for my teenage child - it's a wash. Most of the recipes we really liked - the hot chocolate recipe is great! All items were in good condition. We buy several advent calendars of different types and this was the only one with no quality issues. My daughter has a Kitchenaide mixer and everyday she put the new advent ingredient in the bowl and when the recipe came up we made it - lots of fun and worth the money. We will definitely order next year.

Fun idea with yummy recipes, but execution a little off

The recipes in this advent calendar are all very good, and this is a very fun idea. However, many of the ingredients do not stay in their numbered boxes. I've opened several days of the calendar only to find an empty box, and had to go hunting for the proper daily ingredient. This isn't a deal-breaker, but it definitely takes away from the fun of opening an ingredient each day. Additionally, one of the bags of ingredients was torn open, which caused a bit of a mess and, obviously, left me without an ingredient. I love the idea of this advent calendar, but I won't be buying/gifting it again.

Alert—this is MUCH bigger than expected.

This is well made and interesting HOWEVER it is MUCH larger than notes indicated. I could not gift it to the intended person because it was so big.

Perfect for my teen baker

I was struggling to find the right calendar for my teenager, who loves to bake! There aren't a lot of age-appropriate options for teenage boys - so many calendars seemed too young. Looking forward to seeing what he can make with this one!

Is this advent calendar intended to start with day 24/25 and count down to 1, or start at 1 and count up? Most are counting down but we had a different one last year and realized too late that it went up.

Hello! You can count up or down; the ingredients and recipe cards are in the order you'll need them. You'll just be starting with a recipe card or tool/ingredient first.

Hi there! If kept in a dark cool place under 70 degrees, they should be fine for next year.

Food allergy question. What allergens are present in this other then milk? Is there corn in the product anywhere, corn syrup, corn starch, canola oil etc? Also can the recipes be switched out to use gluten free flour, and non-diary milks and butter's easily? Thank you

Hello! This includes the following ingredients: cocoa powder, espresso powder, crushed peppermint candy, white drops, satin hard candy, candied orange peel, dried cranberries, vanilla sugar, milk chocolate chips, vegan marshmallows, spice drops, holiday nonpareils, Christmas mello cream, flaked sea salt, caramel bits. The item packaged in a facility that handles peanuts and other tree nuts. You are able to switch out any of the standard baking ingredients with gluten free flour, non dairy items etc. Simply use the same amount listed but with the alternate ingredient instead!
