Great retro gift! Loved it!

I bought this for me and my niece and it was a hit. (For the person who said that you can't pin the pins on fabric, they are decorative and just loop onto something like a shoelace.) I remember these from when I was a kid and the kit has everything to relive the memory!!

Not meant for pins

Was excited about this gift for my goddaughter but when we did them together I quickly realized that once you put the beads on, then there's not enougH room to pin it on anything. Not functional at all. The beads are cute and nice colors but you have to get your own string to make bracelets or necklaces because the pins do not work at all. Not sure why I didn't see it before. Also can't spell anything more than 3 letters because the pins are so small.

Response from merchant

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that it wasn't as expected, we do send pins in various sizes but can understand that there is a limit on amount of beads. We have a forever return policy, contact us if you would like to return and we will be happy to take care of that for you.

Disappointing

Expensive for what you get. Should come with more large size pins, and less of the small pins. More letters and less beads. My granddaughter is crafty but better suited for bracelet making. I was going to give it as a Christmas present but changed my mind. I gave it to her one day as an activity to do. Some of the bead openings are too small. Kind of a waste of money.

Thank you for the feedback. Anytime you aren't completely satisfied, we do have a forever return policy!

Granddaughter LOVED it!

Will buy more to keep on hand for next visit with the grandkids!

Very cute and sweet, not perfectly thought-througg

This was a great and sweet gift for a young niece. My two gripes are that there aren't a lot of letter beads so we couldn't spell out both of our names, and not all of the beads had large enough holes to fit on all of the safety pins!

Response from merchant

Thank you for your review, this is great feedback! I'll pass it along to the maker

How would I attach the safety pin onto something? It looks like the part of the pin that would go through fabric is covered in beads. Thanks!

You can make friendship pins in a variety of ways! You can make a few small ones, then hang them from a bigger pin. Those you can bead on the open side of the pin. To make the beads on the closed side, use a needle nose plyer to unfold the circle hinge bead, then use the plyers to make the circle hinge again! YouTube has plenty of videos with examples!

Thanks for reaching out! You can leave one spot on the "pin" side open for the fabric you are attaching the pin to, or you can easily open the pin to thread to the other side by firmly grasping each side of the pin in each hand and twisting them, they will pull apart at the same time. You can usually get the loop open this way without even prying it open with a screwdriver. Once open, you can add the beads to the opposite side of the pin.
