"I grew up on a farm in South Wales," Sarah Edmonds says, "and spent much of my childhood outside, climbing trees, helping with the animals and exploring the surrounding countryside." That's probably why nature, learning, and comedy are constant themes in her work. Sarah was an illustrator on commissioned projects for publishers, museums, and hospitals for over ten years. Today, the mother of two creates pun-filled prints from her home studio that allow people to embrace their playful nature.

Review of Fowl Language Tea Towels

My dear friend knows I am a bird nerd! She sent me the Fowl language set of tea towels for my birthday, and I was delighted! I received the naughty Tit towel and the irreverent Pecker towel. I squawked with laughter at the Bearded Tit and the Great tit! The Pecker towel was equally delightful and had me cackling as I read aloud the names of Hairy Pecker and the Buff-rumped Pecker. The illustrations by Sarah Edmonds are lovely and true to life. I looked up every one of these odd-named birds and learned more about my feathered friends. These towels are a great way to segue into conversations about these wonderful creatures when you have guests. They provide instant humor with their less-than-conventional names. I also suggest getting the Fowl language mugs so you can burst into laughter when you have finished your cup of tea and the TIT is there to greet you!
