The inimitable sound of the ukulele stirs up instant feel-good vibes—so just imagine how much fun you'll have strumming those sweet strings yourself. Join well-known instructor Jacob Sayraf (a.k.a. Ukulele Jake) for this delightful live virtual class that'll introduce you to the joy of uke and have you playing real songs in no time. No musical experience is needed: Just bring your own instrument and, as Jake says, a pocketful of dreams.

Jake will kick things off by showing you how to tune up and then you’ll get right into it, learning to shape the basic chords that become actual melodies.
By the end of class, you’ll have learned three whole songs and the essentials that’ll let you play many more.
No pomp and circumstance, is Jake’s approach. You come to learn how to play and sing some songs, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

About

"Having an instrument that can follow you to the ends of the earth was such a revelation," says Jake Sayraf of the ukulele—and he would know. As a performer and instructor, "Ukulele Jake" has traveled the world playing ukulele and helping others discover its magic. The Michigan native now lives in New York City, where he founded a ukulele school and orchestra. Inspired by his dad, who taught math for many years, Jake believes that teaching is the greatest honor. "You give what you get," he explains. "So you treat the student with understanding and love. And in my experience, I receive the same in multitudes."
