Terrible quality control
I ordered this for my wife for Christmas. I found that one of the legs was split where they drilled the screws and it wasnt even tight. I couldn't believe they sent it out like this. Very poor quality control

very poorly constructed
I was really, really excited to find this... loved the idea and the look. I purchased on 2/8/2019. It arrived on time and in good condition. My husband travels so I needed to wait for him (a high quality wood craftsmen in his right) to help me install it - thus the delay in my reviews. Why? The moment I took it out of the box I could tell there were problems. The mat box was completely floppsy... flimsy. The box was barely holding together - obviously it had not been glued, with finishing nails. The top shelf attachment is SUPER heavy - which adds to the weight of the mat box, so you need to use SUPER duty mollys unless you conveniently have studs that fit. My husband ended up taking the box apart, properly gluing and reconstructing the box. Then he added a brace under the mat box on either end to provide a more stable attachment. Honestly, if you want an assembly project and you are an expert carpenter - go ahead. But if you're like me, NOT a carpenter, pass. It's kind of disappointing to have spent this much money when it had to be disconstructed and reconstructed properly. :( I gave it two stars because I didn't return it...and had a husband who could fix it. But should he have had to?

We’re so sorry for the trouble you had on this! It sounds like the unit you received was not executed in a way consistent with intent and product we have on hand- we are happy to replace this if ever needed. The spacing of the mounting holes are specifically 16” apart and intended to provide for installing in studs into the wall. We designed it this way as according to municipal building codes, wall studs must be located on 16” centers. Please reach out to our customer service team if we can assist with anything further.
