What Makes It Uncommon
- After sending a teaspoon of your loved one's ashes to Scott's studio in the provided kit, the artist heats glass in a furnace until it reaches a molten state. He then adds a thin layer of the ashes, producing a brilliant white with a touch of bubbles encased in the glass. The material is returned to the furnace and sculpted into the quill of a feather.
- Choose from various plumage designs and colors to create a memorial that best represents your lost loved one.
- Each feather arrives with a 12" faux suede cord for easy hanging on a wall or in a window, where they beautifully scatter and reflect vibrant light.
- Handblown in New Jersey.
NOTE: Once you order, we will send you an easy-to-use kit with very specific instructions and shipping materials (including a small tin, bag, and scoop) for sending a teaspoon of ashes to Scott's studio.

Scott Saats was born in Princeton, New Jersey. Although he worked as a helper at a glass studio in high school, he decided to focus on business in college. After a detour managing a car-rental office, Scott rediscovered his passion for glasswork. Scott says his work "brings joy by creating beauty, invoking thoughts and memories, blending colors, and capturing the imagination." In 2022, he fulfilled his dream of owning a studio, where his wife and two young daughters often visit to cheer him on.

This is a made-to-order item that ships directly from the maker. You will receive a pre-paid shipping label and envelope to mail your completed kit to the artist. An expected ship date for your item will be provided after the artist receives your kit. This item typically ships 9 weeks after the artist receives your kit.
Items that are made to order or oversized can't be sent in a Gift Box. Instead, you can include your Gift Message on the shipment's packing slip.
