What Makes It Uncommon

The process of making bourbon requires a new barrel for each batch, and that leaves behind a lot of casks that can't be used again. Jeremiah and Kassy Reynolds had an ingenious idea to transform those beautiful white oak barrels into elegantly rustic designs. Clocking in at almost two feet wide and boasting a 1,000-pound capacity, this Susan is anything but lazy.

  • The Reynolds source real bourbon barrels from American distilleries, then cut, sand, and finish them.
  • Submit a name and optional city and date, and the Reynolds will stamp it right onto the wood in traditional bourbon barrel style.
  • A keepsake to enjoy for many family dinners to come, this one-of-a-kind piece is also a handsome wedding, anniversary, or housewarming gift.
  • Handmade in Melbourne, Arkansas.

When Jeremiah and Kassy Reynolds first married, Jeremiah got really into building log homes. You know, as one does. What started as a hobby turned into a serious craft, and Jeremiah continued building log and barnwood furniture for 16 years, with Kassy helping out on the finishing touches. People started to take notice, and started requesting pieces made from wine and bourbon barrels. The couple realized they had something special going, and got even more serious about their sourcing—tracking down barrels from all over the country and giving them new lives, right from their workshop in the Ozarks of Arkansas. The rest is woodworking history.
