The Experience

Why is pizza the perfect food? Because it’s so versatile, of course—that classic combo of crust and toppings can be infinitely customized and reinvented. In this live virtual class, vegan chef LisaMarie Falcone will teach you two delicious new ways to make everyone’s favorite dish: an eggplant parm pizza with a vegan cheese option, and a decadent dessert pizza of fruit and homemade chocolate-hazelnut spread.

  • First, you’ll learn how to turn cashew and macadamia nuts into 100% vegan cheese (you’re free to use your favorite ricotta if you prefer).
  • Next, LisaMarie will show you how to prepare the dough, and you’ll have an assist from the gift set that comes with the class (see below).
  • Finally, you’ll prepare the toppings: panko-crusted eggplant for the savory pizza, and a maple syrup–flavored chocolate-hazelnut spread for the sweet pie.
  • Once the pizzas are in the oven, LisaMarie will answer your questions, and both of your pies will be ready to enjoy just a few minutes after the end of class—dinner and dessert, easy as pie.
Class length: 90 minutes
Comes with the class: Our Goumet Pizza Dough Gift Set includes three specially blended mixes that just need water to make pizzeria-worthy crust (you’ll use one of them in class—we like the Neapolitan style—and you’ll have the other two to experiment with whenever you like).

For this class you'll need a small and medium sauce pan/pot, measuring cups and spoons, 2 baking Sheets with silicone mat or parchment paper, a whisk, 2 kitchen towels, a small ladle or larger spoon, a food processor, 2 small bowls, a fork, a colander or strainer, a kitchen scale, a wooden spoon, a working stove and oven, a cutting board, a knife and a rolling pin.
