Newlyweds or those celebrating years of marriage will treasure this personal tribute to their togetherness--the couple's names and wedding date are inscribed around the inside rim while the image of two koi swim side-by-side in the center. Glazed a serene blue and fired at extremely high temperatures, this durable bowl is perfect for serving hot or cold dishes. May its daily use stand as a symbol of perseverance...no matter how strong the currents grow. Handmade in New Jersey.

Seowoon Oh was born and raised in South Korea, where she earned a BA and MA in ceramic arts from Hongik University. A few years later, she earned her second master’s degree at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, then moved to the US. When crafting her wheel-thrown pieces, she often draws on many different cultures and ceramic styles, as well as contemporary art. She and her family now reside in New Jersey, where she enjoys hiking and gardening, both of which inspire her beautiful work.
