Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, artist Debra Glanz’s love of papercrafting started back in her childhood. “Even as young as 6 or 7, I would spend my allowance on packs of origami papers at the import stores,” she says. After graduating from Oregon State University with a bachelor's degree in art and a concentration in textiles, Debra took an interest in bookbinding and paper. She ran a successful paper design company until winding it down to return to studio work and art shows.
