Response from merchant

We're sorry to hear that this didn't grow! The outcome can vary depending on environment and growing conditions but many of customers have reported successful plants. We're also seeing a very low rate of issues reported. We hope you'll give this another chance, we're reaching out to offer a replacement.

Good idea in theory

We gave this to our son for his birthday, as he's a fan of all things spicy. The seeds never sprouted, though. We were all disappointed and now own an attractive red container to house something else.

Important to grow at the proper time

I bought this tin the winter. After reading the instructions which specify to grow when the days are longer, Therefore, I waited till March to plant the seeds. I followed the instructions, but even after a day, the top layer of soil was not moist. Therefore, I sprayed a little water on the top. After that the water wicked properly and the plants started to grow. Looking forward to having some fresh peppers!

So many Pepper Plants!

This has been such a fun thing to watch grow! The plants did take the full 21 days to start sprouting, but once they did I think every seed turned into a little plant! I might have to transplant some even as there are so many growing. It has been so exciting to continue to watch the development from when the sprouts appeared and watching them change and grow. Patience is key but it was worth it!

Can't wait for the spice!

Got this planter for my husband for his birthday and it is off to the races! I couldn't believe how quickly the pepper sprouts popped up, and I know peppers can be finicky. So excited to make our own hot sauce!

A spicy pot for a spicy pepper!

This pot is just adorable! I started to see sprouts about 3-4 weeks in, you definitely have to make sure the top of the soil is consistently saturated to make sure the seeds have enough moisture to sprout. Top watering in addition to keeping the vessel 3/4 full worked perfectly for me! I ended up ordering one for my sister as well, great gift for summer.

I would not buy this again - VERY disappointed with product

Have had this set up for over 3 weeks now with no signs of growth. Doesn't appear that the water in the self water bottom reaches up to where they have you place the seeds a 1/4 inch below surface of growth material. Would not recommend or order again.
