Needle Too Small for Thread

It's December 2nd and I haven't been able to start my calendar. The thread is far too thick for the needle's eye. I will have to buy a needle to fit my thread tomorrow. Please provide a needle with a thicker eye.

Wonderful Gift

I sent this to a friend as a pre-Christmas gift and she really liked it. It's cute and an entry-level piece for anyone wanting to learn to embroider, plus it leaves the person with a unique Christmas decoration and a wonderful way to experience the joy of the season.

Fun!

This was a fun little project. Definitely would recommend, would also make a great gift!

With a little tweaking, an heirloom quality gift!

A lovely product, a great gift, and a lot of fun to work on! My only caveat is that in general you use 2 strands of floss for a stitch. Floss comes in six strand hanks, and neither the booklet nor the website tells you you will need to separate the strands. Other than that, the instructions are quite clear and the finished product should be wonderful! One square a day sounds about right!

So excited to start stitching!

This kit is absolutely perfect for crafters at any level. The kit includes everything with simple directions, but leaves plenty of room for more embellishments if you're more advanced. (I'm tempted to add beads to mine - beads not included.) I'm most excited that while there are little squares to stitch every day during advent, there's the design of the house that I can work on in the meantime so I don't have to wait until December to start my project.

Something's not right

I was excited to give this a try for the holidays. While I have never stitched before, I have threaded needles and sewn a few items by hand. The instruction book that comes along with the item tells you exactly what thread and stitch to use for each part, so I thought between that and the instructional videos they have online, I could figure it out. Well I was wrong. It comes with a needle that does not fit the thread included. I spent far too long trying to thread the needle myself before I enlisted other family members and none of us could figure it out. Pretty disappointing.

Response from merchant

Thank you for this feedback. Our team completed a thorough review of the item and also discussed this with the maker. The threads must be split before threading the needle, we are updating the product instructions for that point as it is likely the cause of this issue you're reporting. Wetting the end of the thread and giving it a fresh cut may also help to get the thread through the eye. The kit comes with a standard size #7 embroidery needle which is the right size once the threads are split. You may consider using a needle with a larger eye to make it easier to thread, but just don't go too big or it will leave bigger holes in the embroidery. We're reaching out directly to ensure this is resolved, we're always here to help!

Not for Beginners!

I was excited to give embroidery a try and this looked so cute. The instruction book that comes just tells you what stitches to do and you need to go online to see how to do any stitches you are not familiar with. It also came with a basic needle, not an embroidery needle, so right off the bat I could not start the project because embroidery floss will not fit through a normal needle hole. For this price I am very disappointed!

Response from merchant

Thank you for the feedback, the included needle is an embroidery needle appropriately sized for the floss included with the kit. If beginners need extra assistance, Tutorial videos can be found by following the directions in the included instructions. In case you aren't completely happy -- we do have a forever return policy!

Perfect gift for any stitcher

I will be prepping the outline stitching so I'm ready to go for each day starting December 1
