Sometimes it takes just a bit of light to kindle a fond memory. Stephen Kitras has poured all of his signature artistry into this breathtaking glass lamp, with brilliantly colored leaves flowing across the top of the orb and a vibrant ribbon of trunk reaching to the bottom. Light the wick and the abstract motif of a resilient tree is paired with a soft, steady glow that invites you to cherish the memories you hold close and share them with those you love. For best results, use with clean-burning paraffin oil (not included). Handmade in Canada.

“Why glass? Compared to other media I've worked in, such as iron and ceramic, glass is immediate and responds right away to any design decisions that I make.”

The mantra "when surrounded by beauty, the spirit is uplifted" embodies the mission of Kitras Art Glass. Stephen Kitras began work as a glassblower in 1988, and in 1994 he formed Kitras Art Glass with his wife, Elke. By 2001 the company had expanded to over 40 employees and a new facility. It is Stephen's goal is to design and produce affordable glass art objects to enhance the lives of others. "I think it’s good to make beautiful things and celebrate beautiful moments," he says. "They happen every day, all around us."

Use a damp cloth and lightly rub the outside of the glass.

Oil not included; to use lamp, adequately soak the wick in a clean burning paraffin oil before lighting for the first time.
