Turtleball Coconut Shell Beach Game

Materials used for minutes should not affect the ocean for years is the guiding principle behind maker Daniel Hinchcliff’s eco-friendly beach pong game. By hand-carving discarded coconut shells to mimic a turtle’s, he hopes to spread shoreside fun, reduce waste by using recyclable materials, and save some sea turtles.

• Every game includes 12 hand-carved coconut shells, two rubber balls, and a cotton storage bag with instructions printed directly on it.
• To play, each player or team digs craters big enough to fit each of their six shells and arrange them in a pyramid shape 10 to 15 feet from their opponent.
• For optimal gameplay, smooth out the sand around the coconuts to ensure they sit below the surface.
• Players take turns trying to sink the balls into their opponent’s shells, flipping the shell over after a successful throw. First player to flip all their opponent’s shells is the winner.
• Daniel donates $6 per set sold to the Sea Turtle Conservancy, the world’s oldest and most accomplished sea turtle research and conservation organization.
