Old-school is cooler than ever with Jeff Davis' upcycled vinyl record coasters. Jeff ingeniously makes them from the grooved part of real records—yes, the part that once played music—and features a city skyline along with fun historical facts, like city mottoes, founding dates, and airport codes. The set comes housed in a clever turntable-style display, complete with a pivoting tone arm to keep them in place. For music lovers, city dwellers, and sustainability champions alike, this unique coaster set hits all the right notes.

After working as a designer and builder of theatrical sets, Jeff Davis enrolled at the Rhode Island School of Design to earn a master’s degree in industrial design. Tapping into a cultural shift toward sustainability, the Massachusetts native decided to upcycle an old vinyl LP into a bowl—and got rave reviews. Now Jeff puts his ingenuity to work designing housewares and gifts made from out-of-commission vintage records, all brought to life by a small team of fabricators in his Philadelphia workshop.
